Preview by ACLtear: SIM got the twin terrors, who have worked tirelessly in attack, creating plenty of upsets and trouble for opposing defenders. With strong backup from Ducky (RP), Hui Shan (OSB Owls), the team overall is stronger then last year when only Sonia was the only other experienced player. Senior SIM Girls in the team like Esther, Melissa & Yasi, have been stepping a gear up = good results!
On the other hand, NTU has always been strong due to their foundations from NTU Tempest and various NIE Imports yearly. However, this year, NTU prove to be weakened as most of their Tempest Players are already graduated since 2007. Their strengths lies in a big pool of hardworking players to choose from every year, but seemingly lacks the time to bond their young players from NTU Storm and experienced club players from NIE.Still, NTU rates as a stronger setup as they are more seasoned with ISG games and closed door friendlies to prep them up.Whereas, SIM has to stick close to their arsenal of senior/extrenal club girls to play well TOGETHER.
Although I rate NTU as stronger, I see the fire in SIM as they faced a tougher group by piping RP to get into the SEMIs.Who will win?My bet is on SIM to win by close margin, as they are more bonded and hungry to win than NTU.Still, NTU is ain't easy, they are an obstacle with MANY hardworking players.
