ACLtear Match Preview:

Most of their players hail from their Jupitans set up who are seasoned players in Div 1.

Playing together and having a strong tradition in IVP means younger teams lose out in terms of match awareness.

Judging from their match against NYP: Their strength lies in rlli good teamwork, and very very safe play, rock steady defence too. Their play by the boards can read as super methodical but predictable.

Their star players are not the ones on court but the ones off it - Charismatic Coaches Sim How Choong & Alvin Tay.
With them, comes a team that plays floorball like a Sony Playstation controlled by their strict coaches.
This is something even NYP couldn't break, spells a lot on who will be able to conquer them? Their goals came from errors of the opponents and nothing off flagrant play from NUS.

SIM has shown sheer grit in causing the 2nd upset of the night.

Lets say SIM also has the safe play of NUS (doing nothing fanciful in Defence).

But the magic lies in the fantastic pairing of the Wonder Twins (Change from Terrors) & Gutsy Ducky.

Ducky was my MOM of the night, and beating NTU didn't just came from the 3, it came from the WHOLE team.

Shepard by the sturdy back line of Esther, Lynn, young performers - Alice & Amelia.

Our attack was flying everywhere doing their stuffs despite the counter attacks from NTU.

This (Unpredictable style of attack & Safe Play Defence) is probably what will give SIM the edge over NUS.

My Bet:

SIM to beat NUS by 2/3 goals.

why? why the confidence?

cos SIM has really nothing to lose, & will definitely be hungrier then their boring but steady opponents.

True essence of floorball is still to attack freely and play total floorball which NUS lacks.

The other major theme of the nite will be RUNNING. NUS has rlli good running, which SIM may succumb to.

Although it will take a longer time to penetrate their defence, but its only a matter of time before the floodgates open for SIM's highest strike trio.

score:5-2
